Sex Before Marriage

My roommate discussions always end up on sex, and right now, the topic is “Where in the Bible does it say that sex should wait until marriage?”

Well, I have dove into the Bible, and done some research, and nowhere (that I could find) in the Bible does it explicitly say that sex should be saved for marriage.

Many people I know (two boys with strong opinions) believe that, if in a long-term committed relationship, it is okay to have sex. Long-term and committed are relative concepts, but really, what is the difference between a marriage ceremony and a personal statement dedicating your life to someone?
