This song holds heavy memories. It just came on my iTunes, and I haven’t heard it in months until today. It reminds me of three things/people: CIY Colorado, Matt, and A Cinderella Story. And lots of tears.
Friday :) Becca can tell you about my beginning to Awakening. Jon had us clapping before the vocalization in the beginning of the song, and I could tell just by the drum beat that it was Awakening.

I remember.
back when Hannah and I were little Junior High kids (actually, she was still in sixth grade, at least when we started planning this. I think.) we had a band. Or so we thought we did. It was really just us, being funny. Pretending we could play music, and write songs. I still have my song notebook. I look back at the lyrics, wow. I was so cheesy. I remember writing a song that was eerily familiar to a Hannah Montana song, and when my friend Sara read the lyrics, she said “You know Hannah Montana just released that song.” And I stared at her blankly, asking “Who is Hannah Montana?” That’s how bad of a song writer I was. I had the same ideas as Hannah Montana, or whoever wrote songs for her.
